| The Winning Inning will be offering a L1 and L2 Summer league for high school and middle school players. L2 Co-Op teams are available for those players that do not have a high school team participating in the league or do not make their high school team. Please read below for the details of the league. |

DIVISIONS: L1 - Level One - Varsity Caliber Players L2 - Level Two - Junior Varsity Caliber Players L3 - Level Three - Middle School and Lower High School Players (Must be 13 years old)
HOW DOES MY SON GET ON A TEAM IN THIS LEAGUE? If your son is in high school, he should speak to his high school coach and ask if they are participating in the league. If they are participating in the league he will want to try and play on that team. If he does not make that team or their school is not participating in the league, then he can tryout for one of our CO-OP L2 teams. See tryout dates and times listed below. If their school is participating in our league and your son is playing on that team, your waiver form and check made payable to The Winning Inning for $200 should be turned into their coach. ONLY REGISTER ONLINE FOR THE CO-OP TEAMS. CO-OP TEAM PLAYERS FEES ARE $375.00. THAT FEE INCLUDES WEEKLY PRACTICES AND STRENGTH TRAINING SESSIONS.
MY SON IS ONLY 13 OR 14 YEARS OLD. WHAT ARE HIS OPTIONS? First check to make sure that your son is age appropriate (listed below for each of the seasons). Your son will then need to come out to the CO-OP tryout (see information below) regardless of his age. Some players in the 13-14 year old age group will be selected to play on the L2 team if they can make that team. Players that are not selected to the L2 team may be eligible to play in our L3 progam.

COST FOR SUMMER L1 AND L2 LEAGUES $200.00 for those teams that are entering into the league. TWI Co-op Team players fee is $375.00 and includes weekly practices and strength traininig sessions with a certified TWI instructor. Sibling discounts available - The first player is full price then each sibling is 20% off full price fee.
GAMES 14-16 games. Possilbe end of season tournament. Games are typically played Monday through Friday in the Summer so this allows players to play on travel teams on weekends.
PRACTICES TWI co-op teams practice weekly. High school teams that are entered into the program practice on there own and set there own schedules.
SCHEDULE Games will start in late May and end some time in July. Check schedule on website often as changes will occur in schedule often. Check Field/Weather Button for up to date weather conditions for games.
FIELDS Games will be at Jack Russell and various city fields in Clearwater and St. Petersburg as well as at certain High Schools playing in the league.
CO-OP TRYOUT INFORMATION FOR L2 PLAYERS (L1 PLAYERS LOOKING FOR TEAMS CAN CALL OFFICE AND MY BE PLACED ON A TEAM) In order to tryout for our L2 Co-Op team(s) you must turn in the completed waiver form and $350 registration fee by May 6, 2013. Anytime after May 6, 2013 the registration fee will be $375.00. Tryouts are May 15 or May 16 at 6pm at Jack Russell Stadium. You only need to come to one night of tryouts. If you register online for tryouts, you must fax the completed waiver form to 813-749-8992, or mail to 800 Phillies Drive, Clearwater, FL 33755 NO LATER THAN May 12th SO THAT WE RECEIVE IT BY May 14th (Even though the e-mail confirmation will tell you to bring it on the first day of the event. We need it by May 14, 2013). You will not be able to tryout if we do not receive the fee & this waiver.
If the player does not make a team or does not wish to play at the level assigned by our coaches, you will receive a refund minus $25 for the tryout fee.
Please be aware that players may be assigned to play for an L-1 or L-2 team other than the Co-Op Team.
Talent will determine the number of CO-OP Teams. We may only have one depending on the talent pool. Players that do not make the L2 CO-OP team may be eligible for our L3 Program.
MY SON PLAYS FOOTBALL, BASKETBALL, SOCCER, TRAVEL TEAM BASEBALL (SUCH AS AAU) OR ANOTHER SPORT OR MY SON HAS A COMMITTMENT TO ANOTHER ACTIVITY AND WILL MISS SOME GAMES. CAN HE PLAY IN THIS LEAGUE? Your son needs to committ to this league. If your son is going to miss time because of another activity he is not allowed to play in this league or tryout. Players taking vacations or an occassional absence are allowed to play in this league but this should be discussed with the coaches at the tryouts. Games are typically Monday through Friday so players playing on Scout Teams and Travel teams can participate in this league. L3 players may play in other sports that play on weekends since the league only plays on Mondays and Wednesdays.
BATS: L3 It shall not be more than 34 inches in length; nor more than 2 5/8 inches in diameter, and if wood, not less than fifteen-sixteenths (15/16) inches in diameter (7/8 inch for bats less than 30") at its smallest part. All composite bats shall meet the Batted Ball Coefficient of Restitution(BBCOR)performance standard, and such bats shall be so labeled with a silkscreen or other permanent certification mark. The certification mark shall be rectangular, a minimum of a half-inch on each side and located on the barrel of the bat in any contrasting color.

All Aluminum bats shall meet the Batted Ball Coefficient of Restitution(BBCOR)performance standard with no more than a minus 3 differential, and such bats shall be so labeled with a silkscreen or other permanent certification mark. WHEN: MAY 6, 8, 9, 13, 14, 16, 20, 22, 23, 28, 29, 30, JUNE 10, 11, 12, 13, 17, 18, 19, 20, 24, 25, 26, & 27. MAY 6:30-8:30 PM AND JUNE 6:00-8:00 PM.

GAMES L2 will play a 14-16 game schedule. Most of the games are doubleheaders on Saturdays. L3 will have 4-6 practices and will then be divided up into teams.
PRACTICES L2 may not practice. This is a game driven league. Up to each coach. L3 will have several practices due to the increased number of dates listed below.
SCHEDULE L2 - Games will start in early February and will be played through middle to end of April. L3 and practices for this program are on Monday and Wednesday nights.
L3 SCHEDULE February 4,6,11,13,18,20,25,27, March 4,6,11,13,18,20, April 1,3,8,10,15,17, 22,24,29, and May 1

We need it by 1/23/13). You will not be able to tryout if we do not receive the fee & this waiver.
If the player does not make a team or does not wish to play at the level assigned by our coaches, you will receive a refund minus $25 for the tryout fee.

RULES: Rules are determined at the Coaches meeting and will be listed on the website. BBCOR bats are required.
PLAYING TIME: The Winning Inning is not responsible for or guarantees any playing time or positions in this league. The coach determines playing time.
SCHEDULE: Will be posted once all teams are registered. Check the schedule daily as many items come up and necessitate a change.
DATE: League will start in middle of September and will conclude in early to mid November.
PRACTICES: TWI does not schedule any practices for any teams other than the co-op teams. Practices are up to each individual coach. The focus of this league is on games. Some teams may only practice one or two times and some teams may not practice at all. |
