Flagler places three on All-Peach Conference Teams
 
 
Cale Owen , Jonathan Armold, and John Sgromolo were selected to the All-Peach Belt Conference second team this afternoon.
 
 
AUGUSTA, Ga. − Flagler College senior shortstop Cale Owen (Clearwater, Fla./home school), sophomore designated hitter John Sgromolo (Fleming Island, Fla./Clay HS) and sophomore pitcher Jonathan Armold (Fort Lauderdale, Fla./Pine Crest School) were all selected to the All-Peach Belt Conference Baseball Second-Team which was released Thursday afternoon by conference officials.

Owen is batting .342 this season and leads the team with 39 runs scored. His 65 hits ranks second on the club and the 54 singles rank fourth at Flagler, for a season. Owen also ranks fourth in the Peach Belt with 164 assists. He has also owned a 16-game hitting streak this season.

Sgromolo is second on the team with a .351 batting average. He is tied for third on the team with 59 hits and 33 runs scored. Sgromolo leads the club with a .430 on-base percentage and also had a team-best 18-game hitting streak.

Armold has a 6-1 record with a 3.75 earned run average for the Saints. He has pitched in 14 games with 13 starts, including one complete game. In 81 and two-thirds innings pitched, he has surrendered 98 hits but has struck out 59. Armold ranks in the top 10 in four categories in the conference. He was also a PBC Pitcher of the Week on Apr. 25.

Flagler takes on North Georgia College & State University on Saturday (May 8) at 11 a.m. at Lake Olmstead Stadium in Augusta, Ga., in a Peach Belt Conference Tournament quarterfinal.
